Rosemary is a long time voice teacher, singer, choral advocate and conductor. She has been teaching voice at Vancouver Island University since 2007 where she also teaches conducting and choral pedagogy, directs the Jazz Choir and the VIU Singers. In addition to her university duties, Rosemary has conducted many choirs up and down the island and currently directs Timbre! Choir in the Alberni Valley.

Rosemary holds a degree in Music with a major in Voice from the University of British Columbia. Always an avid chorister, she has sung in many notable choirs including, Phoenix: A Chamber Choir, with prestigious wins in national and international choral competitions, Elektra, Vancouver's premier women's choir, the Vancouver Chamber Choir, and the Vancouver Cantata Singers. On Vancouver Island she has sung with the Nanaimo Symphony Choir, the Island Voices of Campbell River, and most recently, with a professional choir based in Parksville, The Schooner Cove Singers.

As an educator Rosemary is committed to furthering her skills, participating in symposiums and workshops, and in sharing her knowledge, presenting at conferences and giving vocal workshops. Most notably, Rosemary has completed all levels of training in Somatic Voicework™ The LoVetriI Method, an organized method of vocal training for Contemporary Commercial Music (CCM) styles. This training, based upon somatic awareness and aural discernment, integrates beautifully with her other body-centred trainings - acupressure and yoga. All these disciplines inform her work in the choral/vocal sphere. She enjoys integrating her understanding of the voice and the breath and her knowledge of alignment and movement, into all her teaching.
